B.Tech Fashion Technology

RIT focused curriculum integrates creative and leadership skills to develop graduates for the global industries of fashion, visual arts and interiors combined with these skills.
RIT graduates value ethical choice, demonstrate an awareness of culture diversity, communicate effectively, think critically and posses the knowledge of technology essential to their professions.
Introduction :
The Department of fashion technology was started in the year 2009 with the objective of imparting comprehensive knowledge about all faces of fashion industry to girls and empower them with all essential skills to cope up with the demands of their career. Students are provided with industrial standard laboratories and ample opportunity for excellence. The college has the following lab in par with industrial standards.
Basic Eligibility
For admission in a bachelor’s degree, the candidate should have passed the higher secondary school certificate examination with science subject such as biology, maths and chemistry. For IITs, It is mandatory to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examinations (J.E.E). The duration of the course is 4 years.
Career Oppurtunity
Engineering is one of the most rewarding and promising careers for young aspirants. In today’s world engineers probably have a wider choice to work, and greater variety of jobs, that is possible in any other profession. There is vast scope for engineers in areas such as Polymer Technology, Textile Technology, communication, computers, automobile, Thermal Engineering and so on. There are lots of job opportunities available in India as well as in foreign countries.
Graduates after completion of their course in engineering can seek employment opportunities in almost all related production industries, hospitals and research institutes. They could also seek employment in the government sector. Professionals in this career can also opt for teaching jobs in universities and colleges. Aspirants can also expand their skills and knowledge through pursuing more courses
Though placed outside the industrial hub, it has never been a hindering block for their industrial exposure. Students are taken frequently for industrial visits and provided assistance for internship in leading companies. Students are encouraged for industrial oriented training and projects as part of their curriculum. B.TECH Fashion Technology students have potential for placement in core industries like garment industries, textile mills, textile machinery manufacturing industries and processing industries
The department highly values placement, as it stands as a high factor valuing the quality of the department. Some of the core companies which recruited our students are Arvind Life Style Limited, Cotton Blossoms, S.A Knit Wears etc. Some of the students have also taken up higher studies in the field of the Management and Technology
